5 exercises I do every morning

Well, ALMOST every morning. That’s why I take this as the first entry. I’m trying, and still trying hard, to make a habit of morning exercises. I’m not a morning person. I have to leave home at 6.30am in order to skip Jakarta’s traffic jam, and reach my office at 8.20 or 8.30. It isn’t easy for a guy that hate morning call (morning already?). To the expense is my morning workout.
So, these are the list of my recent morning routine:
- Jog. Just around the corner. Took about 8-10 minutes. Just a warming up, to loosen up a little bit the stiff muscles.
- Push-Ups. Legs and body straight. Look straight ahead (not staring at the ground). Go down slowly and come up fast. Sometimes, I put my knees on the ground, but still keep the body straight and head looking forward. I go for 15 per set, for 3 sets every morning.
- Sit-ups. Lay still and with knees bent. Inhale when going down, exhale when rising up the upper body. I do 20 times per set, for 3 sets. 30 seconds interval between sets.
- Body squats. I do these by standing with my legs open at shoulder length. Arms in front of me. Start with lower our body slowly to a position where thighs are parallel to the ground. Then jolt to the mid air fast! These will definitely help improve your balance. Work up to about 20 per set, for total 3 sets.
- Body pull-ups. This exercise really took a lot of me. Palms facing to my face, and feets don’t touch the ground. Up until now, I only able to perform 10 times for each sets, for total only two sets. I still fight to make it to the third set, even with only 7-8 times.
Those exercises really set my mood to ready face the day. Hope you find it useful. Or you can just share your morning routine by leaving a comment. Have a great day!
